Garden Growth

I'm so surprised at the cantaloupe we have growing in our garden.
I never thought it would do anything and look!

...and our first squash came in!

Colorado 2011 Vacation

Well our journey to Colorado has come and gone,
but we have a lot of fun memories that we brought back with us.
Here are a few...

Mesa Verde National Park, CO

Mesa Verde cave dwellings, hundreds of years old

Monkeys in the window

My new turquoise earrings from the Purgatory Trading Co., Trinidad, CO
I'm in love with them...

I'm in love with this little one, my sweet nephew Aidan was a wonderful traveler!

Kevin, shooting some cans

Amy, Emily, and Katie - three sissies in Cuchara, CO

Emily and me at The Dog Bar in Cuchara, CO

Greg and I eating amazing tacos at Kip's in Pagosa Springs, CO

Mimi with Aidan at the pueblo ruins, Mesa Verde, CO

Dad with Luna in the backyard - nice view, eh?

The family enjoying a lovely evening in La Veta, CO

Dad & Greg geocaching on the West Peak

Baby bump and the beretta air pistol - 17 weeks
Emily snapped these photos, thought it was funny.
Don't worry, it was not loud at all - more like a beebee gun.

Trout caught at the San Juan National Forest
My sweet husband who I adore, I love you.

15 Weeks: Bumpdate

How Far Along: 15 Weeks

Size of the baby: a navel orange (about 4.5 in, 2 to 3 oz)

Total Weight Gain: 6 lbs

Maternity Clothes: I have bought several maternity tanks and tops to fit me better, but mainly wearing roomy dresses and drawstring shorts.

Gender: Unknown, I have a hunch!

Movement: The last week I have felt some strange "twinges" but unsure what they are, could be the ligaments stretching and making room for baby. Hope to feel some real movement soon!

Sleep: Sleeping really hard at times, other times I stay awake just thinking.

What I miss: I miss feeling energetic. Some energy is coming back, thankfully!

Symptoms: Morning sickness has come back and bitten me! I am waking up around 4am or 5am and feeling very ill. Nothing a zofran won't cure ... but I'm just ready not to take any meds for nausea!

Cravings: I have been wanting Gang Dang Red Curry dish from Bangkok Alley. It has been making my mouth salivate just thinking about it. So the nearest BA is in Collierville - so I drove 30 minutes to get Red Curry to go. I know, ridiculous .... but I HAD to have it. Of course on the way over to pick it up I was starting to feel a little ill and needed to eat stat. As soon as I paid and picked it up, I was going to get a bite in while in the car. As I drive away, I realize there is no silverware! AHHH the horror! I got home in a flash and tore the Gang Dang up.... twice! Once at dinner time and again at 9:30pm.

Weekly Wisdom: The food you often crave does not satisfy you. What's up with that?

Best Moment of the Week: Hearing baby's heartbeat this past week.

Looking forward to: Vacationing in Colorado with my family & traveling with my nephew!

Brunch for Baby Greene

Today I was so excited to be a part of Robyn's baby brunch shower! I was able to help host and we had a blast. Baby Korbyn will be here in less than a month, so exciting!
At our fabulous brunch we had fruit, ham and cheese rolls, breakfast casseroles, monkey bread, and cheese grits. Also - my favorite - was coffee punch! I am going to add the recipe here because it was so delicious, it was more like a dessert. Super easy, try it sometime!

1/3 cup instant coffee
2/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup HOT water
1/2 gallon milk
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
1/2 gallon chocolate ice cream

Mix coffee, sugar, and hot water.
Add milk.
Add ice creams. (soften)
Serve and enjoy!

This is WAR!

Something outdoors is enjoying our garden before we get to! The nerve!

After working so hard and nurturing our sweet, little garden - something is taking it right from under our noses!

I'm about to set up post with my beebee gun and see what I can find!

Stay tuned....

14 Weeks: Bumpdate

A friend of mine had used this "survey" on her blog and I thought it was a great way to keep family and friends updated, so I'm borrowing the idea from her (Thanks Lea!) Excuse the room I am in, we are in the middle of clearing it out to make it the guest bedroom. No makeup and hair was a mess this day, so no face in the photo :)

How Far Along: 14 Weeks

Size of the baby: The size of a lemon (approximately 3.5 inches)

Total Weight Gain: Really? About 5 lbs (this part of the survey may accidentally be deleted one day.....)

Maternity Clothes: My sister gave me two pairs of her maternity jeans, and I admit I have worn them a few times because they are so darn comfortable! But, still in normal clothes with the help of the rubberband trick - but have bought a few tops with a little more room! My favorite find so far are the Target maternity tanks, great for summer (pictured above).

Gender: Do not know... not finding out until the day I deliver! (...will we cave before then??)

Movement: Not yet, can't wait!

Sleep: No more good, restful sleeping! I get up at least 2 times to use the restroom. I also have to get up and take a zofran around 5:00am to prevent morning sickness! Hoping that will leave me REAL soon :)

What I miss: Picking my nephew up... the doc banned me from lifting heavy things after a few problems earlier in the pregnancy.

Symptoms: New this week: strange skin rashes - not sure if they are pregnancy related or not, but will have my OB check them out this week. Also, I'm finding I have a tougher time breathing and catching my breath. In the past few days, my nose has become stuffy all of the time. I hear pregnancy rhinitis is common and will only get worse.... where is my neti pot?

Cravings: I really want a deep-fried Philly Roll from our sushi place, but can not have the raw salmon.

Weekly Wisdom: I cannot workout at the pace I used to... take it easy and drink plenty of water!

Best Moment of the Week: Celebrating our 3 year wedding anniversary at Bonefish Grill! Love you G.

Looking forward to: Our next OB appointment this Thursday!

Happy Anniversary

Happy 3rd Anniversary to my sweet, loving husband - Can not believe it has been 3 years! We celebrated tonight by going to Bonefish Grill, our favorite! Our official anniversary is on Monday, but celebrated tonight. Of course we went early because these days I hit the hay fairly early. Who am I kidding? REALLY early.... Here are some pics we took!
