Birds of a Feather

I have to share the "happy" my Emily sent me from Denver! She always finds such unique things. I am thrilled that she thought of me and Baby C when she saw this amazing piece of art work. Heather Phifer, of Elevated Scraps, creates these beautifully decorated mobiles for any room of your house - perfect for a nursery. Emily met her and saw her work at a festival out in Denver - and boy, am I glad she did because it adds so much to the baby's room. None of the pictures do it justice, so you'll just have to come see for yourself! Take a look ...

Beautiful colors!

Thanks sis! We love you bunches... this gift will be in our home for a LONG time!

Coming on Along

The owls are hung up on the wall and look divine, at least I think so! I know I post a lot about the baby's room, but this blog is more like a scrapbook for me since I don't actually write things down or scrapbook! The tiny green owl on the floor is a door stop. I spray painted it avocado, yum!

Bumpdate: 25 weeks

How Far Along: 25 weeks

Size of the baby:
The size of an eggplant, over a foot long and weighs between 1.5 to 2.2 lbs.

Total Weight Gain: 14 lbs

Maternity Clothes: All maternity pants, still can enjoy wearing some of my dresses, most maternity tops mixed with larger sized shirts from regular stores.

Gender: We're pretty sure it is a girl or a boy...

Movement: A ton, all day long... especially right after I eat dinner and when I lay down in bed at night and in the morning. Last night the baby had the hiccups for the first time (that I could feel), quite a funny feeling.

Sleep: Not much sleep being had lately, between stresses of a new job and my mind racing. Still waking up on my back all of the time and trying to stay on my side as much as I can.

What I miss: Being able to paint my toenails easily, it is quite the challenge these days ... along with shaving my legs (don't worry- no sasquatch here, I get it done, it just isn't easy!)

Symptoms: Still having morning "sickness" - mainly just feeling icky right when I wake up, but it goes away fairly fast. At the end of the day my feet are burning and feel swollen - trying to wear comfy shoes without looking like an old lady!

Cravings: I wouldn't say these are cravings, but foods I really am enjoying: LOVE peanut butter toast, cereals - Life and Lucky Charms, tuna casserole, and pickled okra.

Weekly Wisdom: Hormones are crazy and turn you into a crazy person, you just have to ride them out!

Best Moment of the Week: Getting two "happies" in the mail: one from my Mama, she sent me this cute owl top from Old Navy that she had found (pictured); the other was the baby bedding!

Looking forward to: Mom flying in this next weekend and a baby shower!

Sleep Like a Baby

Our baby bedding came in today! SO super excited, it is delicious... I just want to crawl inside the crib and sleep the night away. I wanted to do crisp, clean white and it turned out beautiful, especially against the black crib. It is custom made from Polka Tots. Take a look at it, can't believe we only have 15 weeks or less until we meet our sweet baby Clements!

Thank you Beebee, Big Daddy, Mamaw and Papaw!

Bumpdate Quickie: 23 weeks

23 weeks: baby weighs in at 1.5 lbs and is as long as an ear of corn!

So I am too tired to fill out the survey for this week, so here is a quick snap shot of the belly bump.

School starts back tomorrow and my tummy is full of nerves and anxiety. Bedtime is near, but here is a picture taken yesterday, in baby C's room.

We had a doctor's appointment this past Friday and all is moving along well. She was happy with all of my stats and numbers and will go back in 4 weeks for the dreaded glucose test!

EXCITING NEWS: Robyn and Alex now have a beautiful baby girl, Korbyn. She came into the world on Saturday, August 6th. I got to see Robyn today and she looks exceptional and is doing great. I can not wait to hold Korbyn in my arms, she looks like a good snuggle buddy! CONGRATS to the Greenes, so happy for y'all!
