Friends!
Yesterday, Sloane and I were able to go visit our friends, the Stimsons. Cameron and I met in grad school and have kept in close touch since then. When we met, Cameron had just found out she was pregnant with Rowan. Now she has 2 beautiful children and I've had Sloane. My, what a difference 3 years makes! Here are our blue-eyed blonde haired babies:

Happy Half Birthday
Today was my first official, full day home with Sloane for the summer. We had a great day together! I still get anxious getting out and about with her because she went through a "I hate my car seat and nothing makes it better" phase. There is nothing worse than driving and having a baby screaming and crying at the top of her lungs in the backseat. She seems to be out of that phase (fingers crossed and knocking on wood). We loaded up and did a few errands together and enjoyed the day! Can not believe I had her 6 months ago. I still catch myself saying, "I just had a baby"... or "I have a newborn"... but I guess I can no longer say those things. Feels like she'll head off to college in a few years at the rate she is growing! We don't go for her 6 month check up for a few more weeks and I'll know her stats, but at her last appointment a few weeks ago she weighed 17.6 lbs.

First Swim!
Sloane will be 6 months old this week (crazy!).... yesterday was her first time to be in a swimsuit and enjoy a pool. She was unsure at first, she is very observant and wanted to check things out first. Watching her cousin, Aidan, helped her know it was ok to be in the water. The water was chilly, but we were able to get in a little bit! Here are some fun pictures, it was a great day and hope it was a fun experience for my sweet girl.

Here we are on Mother's Day. Sloane loves to stand on the floor while you hold her up, I think she'll walk before she crawls! She is almost 6 months old, time has absolutely flown by.
While I'm thinking about it, any mom's who have flown with babes, any advice? We head out next weekend and I am a bit nervous about flying with her, hoping we aren't THAT family! I know to feed her while we take off and land to help her ears, any other advice? Thanks!

Sloane Elizabeth and her first piece of artwork!
I took my sweet girl to "Paint a Piece" last weekend and we did a little painting.
We painted a sushi plate that I'm going to hang on her wall.
It was fun and she did SO good. I got to pick it up today.
