Picasso

Sloane Elizabeth and her first piece of artwork!

I took my sweet girl to "Paint a Piece" last weekend and we did a little painting.
We painted a sushi plate that I'm going to hang on her wall.
It was fun and she did SO good. I got to pick it up today.

Morning Chat with Sloane

She already has so much to say!

Love her so much...I can hardly stand it.

We love listening to Adele in the mornings, you can hear her faintly in the background.

Stats

I no longer have time to blog ... period. This little (well, not so little anymore) creature has taken over our lives. I am going to try and blog more, but it is going to take a lot of work! Sloane has been spoiled and loves being held and cuddled all day long, making it hard to do anything around the house! One day I finally put her in the Baby Bjorn carrier and strapped it on so I could do stuff around the house. This past Tuesday she was 7 weeks old, hard to believe eh? Here are some stats on sweet Sloane:

Weight: 11 lbs
Height: 23.5 in
Some photos I took yesterday, what a ham!

She is everything and so much more than I could have ever imagined! She has such a sweet and calm manner about her. I can't get enough of her. She "talks", mimics, and makes the sweetest grins at us these days (and it isn't just because of gas). She grabs and holds on to my necklace, grabs my hair, rubs my arm.... each one melting my heart every time.

Bumpdate: 39 weeks

Almost there!

Tomorrow I will be 39 weeks, moving into the 40th and final week of this pregnancy! As of last Monday, I was dilated 2 cm and 60% effaced. I go back to see the doctor on Monday. I will be induced this coming Friday, December 2, if baby decides not to come on his or her own. I'm very anxious and nervous about everything and just pray all will go well! In a way I'd love to have the baby come on his or her own, but the idea of knowing a date is also nice. We'll see what this week brings!

Either way, Greg and I are both packed and ready to go! My mom flies in on Thursday, December 1 - she is cutting it close, wouldn't you say?
Hopefully my next post will include a picture of a beautiful baby girl or boy! Stay tuned . . .

Bumpdate: 37 weeks

How Far Along: 37 weeks

Size of the baby: The size of a WATERMELON (about 19-22 in, 6.5 lbs)
No wonder I feel so huge!

Last doctor update: We went to the doctor this past Friday. I am 60% effaced and 1cm dilated. The baby's head is very low, according to my doctor - I can concur with her on that from the pressure that I feel. I will head back this coming Friday, anxious to see if we've had any other progress. The way I've been feeling, I just feel like this baby will make an appearance soon - which would be fine with me. I am not sleeping at all these days. If I am not going to sleep, I'd rather have a sweet baby to snuggle with instead of laying on the couch staring at the ceiling fan. I have strange feelings here and there and never know what they are. It will be real interesting to see what happens when I do go into labor and have no idea what to do! No books, internet sites, or people can prepare you for that. But, we are packed and ready to go when the time is here. I am continuing to work, even though each day is trying and tiring & it takes all I have to get through - I hope to last as long as I can. I only have 12 working days until the due date, so hopefully I can hang in there!

Looking forward to: Thanksgiving break next week and meeting our sweet little one soon!

Belly Shots

I wasn't going to do maternity photos, but found Cindy Meisch through a friend. She is wanting to do more maternity sessions in her photography business. We were happy to be her guinea pigs and were able to get some great shots! Here are a few favorites.

These were taken at 36 weeks.
Thanks Cindy, can't wait for our newborn photos!!

Greg was such a trooper, a handsome trooper I might add. I'm sure there were games on TV he would have rather been watching, but instead he spent some time doing something important to me. He has been amazing and has done so much for me during these last 9 months. Love you G, can't wait to meet our little one!

Will You Still Love Me?

Birdie is acting very clingy and needy these days. Think she senses we have a new addition on the way?
